Apple to hold "Showtime" event on September 12th
Apple today confirmed that it will hold a special event on Tuesday, September 12th at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts Theater in San Francisco, California. An invitation sent to select media, including iLounge, features Hollywood premiere-style spotlights and reads simply, “It’s Showtime.” The event will kick off at 10:00 a.m. PT.
So, what’s on my wishlist?
- 23” iMac? That will be the jam. But I have 2 intel machines already, so I probably won’t be able to get one.
- Big Screen iPod? If it comes, may be something to wait for. I really don’t watch a lot of video on my 5G ipod.
- Full Metal Jacket iPod Nano? Very sweet, but as big as I am, the difference between a regular iPod and a nano is not going to make a big overall difference.
- iFilms or iTunes Movies? I am down with this. Goodfellas while waiting for the Dentist? I’m down with that.
- WebObjects as open source? Too java-y. Not interested.
- New iWork with a spreadsheet? I’m in, first day.
- Networked Video device? Count me in.
- iPhone? You know it.
Of the 8, how many will drop? My guess is 5.
