...network TV continues to fade

July 3-9 was lowest recorded week in history for network TV viewership.

I don’t find that very surprising. Did you watch anything on network TV last week? I watched parts of the World Cup games on ABC—that was the extent of my contribution.

The networks are hog tied by HBO—with a few exceptions, they are unable to create content that is compelling to anyone under 50 due to the constraints placed on them by the FCC. The vast majority of americans do not live or aspire to live lives that would be deemed suitable for over-the-air broadcasts. The networks are stuck in the pseudo-friendly world of the 1950’s while the rest of us tune in to Entourage and Lucky Louie.
