Gates: Windows Vista 80% chance of shipment in January 2007

...this time it comes straight from Microsoft co-founder and Chief Software Architect Bill Gates. He says that Windows Vista has an ‘80% chance’ of shipping in the most recently-revised target timeframe of January 2007.

So after 3 delays and five years without a significant OS upgrade, there is still a 20% chance that Vista will not ship in January. Steve Ballmer may feel secure, but he should probably keep an eye on the executives at Airbus who hit the chopping block for delays on the forthcoming A380 Super Jumbo Airliner…
