Mog -- Where music lovers hang themselves.
After skimming a “Mashable” article, I bounced over to mog.com, “where music lovers hang their hats”, a social music site that links users based on the their listening habits in iTunes. Even though the whole thing sounds pretty derivative of LastFM, I said ‘hey, maybe their iTunes plugin is integrated better. Why not try it.”
I filled out the necessary information and submitted, getting a phat rails application error page. Apparently, though it did submit, because when I tried to submit the form again, I got a message that my username was taken and that my captcha guess failed. I tried again with a different username and new captcha and got the message that my email address was already taken. So I tried to login—naturally, no dice. So I tried to get them to send me my password and got “Your password could not be emailed to jerry@jerryr.com.” Why? I am not sure.
Finding this to be the most foul registration system I have ever run across, I decided a bit of revisionist photoshopping could be in order… Voila!
