In Court Filings, Cheney Aide Says Bush Approved Leak - New York Times
President Bush authorized Vice President Dick Cheney in July 2003 to permit Mr. Cheney’s chief of staff, I. Lewis Libby Jr., to leak to a reporter key portions of a classified prewar intelligence estimate on Iraq, according to Mr. Libby’s grand jury testimony disclosed in court papers filed late Wednesday.
So, if this is true, mustn’t Mr.’s Bush and Cheney pick up a pair of copy paper boxes, clean out their desks and hit the road? This Nixonian behavior, in both the execution and cover-up of the Valerie Plame affair, must elevate Dennis Hastert immediately to the Presidency. How else can we remain a nation of laws?
