The Brownie Strikes Back?

I find it interesting that the Bush tapes are coming to light after six months in a dark closet. The appearance of the stark and damning evidence comes just as Michael Brown is trying to rehabilitate his image and shake off his scapegoat status. He comes off as apparently competent in the clips I’ve seen.

Newly released tape and transcripts of video conferences held by top government officials before and after Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast last summer show that President Bush and his Homeland Security secretary were fully briefed about the devastation that a strong storm could wreak on New Orleans.
