The Trawler: Building A Better Del.icio.us

Del.icio.us is certainly worthy of its status as one of the first great Web 2.0 apps, but “the Trawler” has a few suggestions for improvements.
Here are a few suggestions to improve the user experience:
  1. Title discovery… The page or post likely already has a title.
  2. Tag discovery… Chances are the page already has a multitude of meta-data embedded in it. Why not borrow those?
  3. Intelligent results… Allow me to filter sites from my results so that they get better over time (see: reddit.com).
  4. Don’t redirect me. If I want to bookmark the site, do not redirect me from the page I’m currently viewing.

items 1 and 2 seem like they would dramatically improve the user experience without being intrusive or especially difficult to add. Of course, reducing the insane quantity of downtime seems like it should be a high priority, as well.
