White House Priorities courtesy of Harper's Index

Harper’s Index for November 2005 (Harpers.org):

Percentage change in the average monthly price of oil during the Carter Administration: 85

Percentage change during the presidency of George W. Bush, before Hurricane Katrina hit this fall: 107

Days after Katrina hit that Dick Cheney’s office ordered an electric company to restore power to two oil pipelines: 1

Days after Hurricane Katrina that the White House authorized sending federal troops to New Orleans: 4

Percentage change since January in the total value of Saudi Arabian stocks: 83

I’ve been harping on this for a while now, but it is interesting to see it in real numbers. Propping up the government of Saudi Arabia is the exclusive priority of the Bush administration.
