The Abscense of Reason

Waking up to Jerry Falwell on CBS was a bit jarring this morning. As you would expect, he stood up for biblical literalism, professing a literal 7-day creation. Thank goodness for the Vatican.

A Vatican cardinal said yesterday that the faithful should listen to what secular modern science has to offer, and warned that religion risks turning into “fundamentalism” if it ignores scientific reason.
